The Greenwood Festival Chorale became a year round organization in July 1999.

For the past five years a community chorus had been organized to perform an annual Choral Vesper program for the Greenwood Chapter of the American Guild of Organist. In February 1999 Vespers, the group was invited to present  A Rodgers & Hammerstein Evening for the Festival of Flowers in June 1999.

Based on the success of this concert musically, the overwhelming audience response and a sold-out performance the Greenwood Festival Chorale emerged as a viable year-round group.

The Chorale is open to all singers in the Greenwood area. It provides an opportunity for singers to perform a wide variety of music representing all style periods.   The Chorale sings unaccompanied works and works for orchestra, organ, and piano.

The music selected is from the best in the field of choral literature and the repertoire always brings something special to the group's audience.

If you like singing, you are invited to join the chorale.
